For deeper thermocline: if a swimbait jig runs 10’ down 60’ back. Do you add 10’ + the down rigger ball depth? Is there ever a no mans land? Our lake is almost 100’ thermo cline by the dam can be 25-30’

Hi Mike, great video! I just bought a boat with a 1kw TM275LHW. I will be bottom fishing in 100-300ft of water predominantly. My question is will this transducer be ok? The way I understand it is the High/Wide will be great for finding new ground but not great for actually getting over the fish, and the low will also have a wide cone and be unnecessary in these depths. Should I be switching to a High/Med Transducer instead? Thanks!

Cant wait! Just settling in. Bought our first boat an 88 ranger 393v have a lowrance eagle 9. We have tried to place the trans in several different spots and got mixed readings. The one spot that seems it would be correct is blocked by the live well in/outlets we have it close. The boat not only has a V bottom but a step setup I guess you call itm I can't get arches alot of times, most of the times it's just dots, blobs and some times half arches. Can't wait to see what I will learn. One person said I would have to build a bracket special made to fit the trans where it's supposed to go. Don't know if I want to go through all that. I'm just a hobbiest and that's my only electronic on the boat. Mainly use it for GPS and bottom scanning

After updating wirelessly my evo3 i cant get any depth, when entering the echosounder settings i can see my transducer b175m but its greyed out, i even swapped the wire to transducer 2 slot but same problem any help ?

I just got my first kayak with a trolling motor that has a built in transducer so I’m looking into fish finders because I’ve never used one. I’m only halfway through your video and had to like and comment because already this has made so much sense of a device that seemed so confusing

Hey Mike. I love the videos and learned so much watching your stuff over the years. I fish Lake Wallenpaupack in Northeast Pennsylvania and do very well. With all the success catching stripers, I want to start a guide service and channel of my own for next season. Do you have any tips you could offer for successfully starting as guide service and channel? I have a few videos up but they are very amature compared to yours haha. Thanks in advance!

My ff shows a fish stacked on top of one another but get bigger the lower it goes. It’s like the same fish but reflections of it. They’re stacked on top of one another. I’m not sure why
